Before you buy

A part number is a better starting point than a photo

  1. Identify the exact model, year and market version first. Registration year alone may not identify the model year. Use your bike's identification details and a parts catalogue for the correct variant.
  2. When you have an OEM part number, search for that number and ask the seller to confirm the marking on the actual item. A similar appearance or an eBay search match does not establish compatibility.
  3. For used components, inspect mounting points, connectors, threads and the seller's description of condition. Confirm what is included: a pictured assembly may be sold without its brackets or fittings.
  4. Compare the complete cost including delivery, and read the return terms before buying. For safety-critical parts, use appropriate manufacturer or qualified specialist guidance to establish suitability.
